If you were a child who grew up until the turn of the millennium, you likely watched wholesome TV programming like Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Classified as “educational children’s television”, the show was created and hosted by Fred Rogers, an ordained Presbyterian minister, and ran from 1962-2001. Among other things, the show was known for it’s opening song “Wont you be my neighbor?”.

Interestingly, Jesus was once asked the question, “Who is my neighbor?” For most of us, the obvious answer would be the people living next door to us, on our street or down the hallway, but Jesus has a different idea.
